I wanted to experience being a business owner, so I founded my own company. Exited in 2025.
Cinco Sentidos Tex-Mex Restaurant & Bar is a family-owned Limited Liability Company operated by Vicente, Roque, Roy, Fina, and Ran Carbajal Solis. Together, the family brings over 80 years of combined experience in the food and beverage industry.
The restaurant’s journey began in the late 1990s with Mercedes Martinez Restaurant in South Austin, followed by Restaurant El Chef in Round Rock during the 2000s. In 2012, under new leadership, the family established Cinco Sentidos in Round Rock, continuing their tradition of offering original Tex-Mex favorites and innovative alternatives inspired by their culinary history.
Cinco Sentidos also provides offsite catering for all occasions. Whether you're planning a family celebration or a business event, Cinco Sentidos can deliver and cater for groups of 25 or more.
What sets Cinco Sentidos apart is its menu variety and commitment to homemade, original selections. In addition to traditional Tex-Mex favorites, the restaurant offered popular alternatives for guests seeking flexibility. Our promise was simple: fresh, high-quality food prepared with care and pride — always served with genuine hospitality.
In 2025, our lease expired, and we made the decision not to renew. After many wonderful years of serving the community, Cinco Sentidos Restaurant officially closed its doors.
